Last night son was cracking jokes.
Some of them were bad.
I told him, "You know, I am the funniest person in the family."
"No, mom." he said. "Not true.
(This is a long standing argument around here. The whole funniest person in the family thing).
"Yes" I say. "I have the title."
Daughter turns. Daughter says, "Well, he is pretty funny."
Damn. I thought she was on my side.
He sighs.
"Look mom, statistically, I get the most laughs per day."
He is DEAD serious.
Quietly I say..."No you don't." I am not giving up.
I know he hears me.
I know he will be recording his laughs per day from now on.
Let's go eat stuff.

Yeah, his member probably gets more laughs.

two peanuts were walking down the road

Of course you're the funniest. As a mother and a woman, you have so much more access to comedy and irony and cruel humor....

Quite frankly, Violet, I think all of you are funnily delightful. With the X shacking-up there, he is the funniest of all. He cooks, cleans, does laundry...WOW! What a man will do for love.
